Engineering Assessment Reports (EARs)
- Pursuant to Section 54(1)(k) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), an Engineering Assessment Report (EAR) is conducted to determine whether machinery, equipment, or processes pose any risk to worker health or safety.
- Quintil Engineering’s EAR evaluates the mechanical integrity, electrical safety, control system architecture, and guarding adequacy of industrial machines to ensure compliance with recognized engineering standards such as CSA Z432 (Safeguarding of Machinery), CSA Z434 (Industrial Robots), and CSA Z142 (Power Press Operations).
- Our assessment validates that the equipment operates in alignment with sound engineering practice, ensuring that no unsafe condition exists under normal or foreseeable operation. The final report provides documented engineering findings, compliance recommendations, and professional certification as required under Ontario legislation.
